About the show

Aged just 14, Emma is dreaming of playing the most iconic Shakespearean role of all time: Hamlet. With her at the helm, she’s pretty certain it’s going to be the most iconic secondary school production the world (or at least Warwickshire) has ever seen. But, she’s faced with a drama teacher who thinks Hamlet needs to be able to fill his codpiece. We follow Emma onto drama school and the big wide world as she goes on a journey of discovery… with a variety of Shakespeare’s men popping up under contemporary guises.

To She or Not to She was received the Special Commendation for solo performance from the NSDF at the Edinburgh Festival 2015.
